This illustration was definitely inspired by the date 14th of February, or as most of us like to call it: Valentine's Day.
I mostly wanted to experiment with lights in this illustration, and drawing fairy lights seemed fitting for a Valentine's day illustration.
Sure this day is celebrated by couples all around the world, but I wanted to emphasise that everyone should be celebrating this day just because of "love". The romantic kind of love that warms out hearts and makes us dream. It could be my Disney princess obsession that is talking about that kind of love.
Moving on from that, here is a drawing with a colour theme of orange, red and yellow, definitely warm colours that help set the mood of this artwork.
