"Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your golden hair."
This is definitely the character description that describes Rapunzel. Though I like her with the short brunette hair as Disney had made with their character adaptation, I decided to keep Rapunzel's golden locks, purely for the aesthetics.
The entire Disney princess collection that I am currently working on is based on the characters that are heavily marketed by the company.
While I agree that Rapunzel should be portrayed as a brunette more often, she is much more recognizable with her distinct seventy feet of golden hair.
The outfit design is kept simple to emphasize the iridescence of the dress.
