When it came to designing the outfit for Princess Tiana, I really wanted to emphasize her hard working attitude. A pencil skirt always screams formality for me; pretty much making her ready to dominate the business world. However, of course I needed to create a nice balance of work and play whilst maintaining a chic design. Green was the chosen colour to represent Tiana's frog form which is of course her character for the majority of the film.
