I don't really mind that Pocahontas is not technically a princess. I am still glad with the fact that Disney has included her in the Princess line because she is a strong woman and a figure worth looking up to as someone who fights for what she believes in. That is certainly that message these princesses communicate with its audience. I decided to a modern twist to Pocahontas' character costume. One thing I love about Disney's costume design was the blue necklace that complemented the the brown of her dress. It was certainly a pop of colour from the monotoned colour palette of her character design.
